“ …do you remember us? You helped us with our home 25 years ago! We would like you to help us with a new addition to our home.” One of the nicest compliments a designer is given is a happy and returning client! Changing the current screened in patio into a new sunroom was the primary objective. As the project developed, this remodeling was the impetus to update the Kitchen, Living Room and Dining Room. New hardwood flooring in the sun-room extended into the Living and Dining Rooms, new furniture replaced old to create an adult conversation area in the Living Room with a wine country lodge appeal, pulling a collection of Bourbon barrel lids into the kitchen creates a “Tasting Room” atmosphere, and the new sun-room is now the family gathering space, bringing the outdoors in and featuring multi-purpose furnishings and spaces.

About Project

Comfortable, ample and functional seating anchors the new Sunroom. A perfect place for conversation, relaxation and TV viewing in this family gathering area.

This custom cocktail table was the perfect design for their needs providing considerable versatility for a family gathering area. A cleanable microfiber suede covers the cushioned edges for sitting or propping feet. The removable wooden tray serves beautifully and provides storage space underneath.

An antiqued white wicker table with glass top is mixed with umber finished Chinese Chippendale chairs creating an eating or game area. The colors and materials retain a lightness the client preferred in the new space.

This white paneled coat rack provides additional storage next to the new exterior door.

Collected Presentation Bourbon Barrel lids and a tapestry establish a "tasting room" environment that refreshes a once dark wallpapered breakfast nook.

Formerly the coffered wood ceiling was the same stained finish of the beams. Painting a light color in the coffers lifted the room and defined the ceiling design.

The antique bourbon whiskey barrel lid accents the brick stove alcove.

A warm russet colored marble ball echoes the tones of the brick fireplace and adds interest to the antique finish of the lamp.

With a wine country lodge in mind, classic natural linen covers these oversized swivel chairs. A contemporary harlequin pattern of warm and cool neutrals on the cocktail ottoman and pillows is a luxe addition in this already comfortable setting.
